Become a Foster Parent
Licensing Process:
Step 1. Contact our Licensor 
Contact our licensor, Jennifer, at 360-415-5866 or
ics@kmhs.org to receive information and an application. You can also fill out our
Foster Parent Interest Form and Jennifer will be in contact with you and mail you an information packet.
Step 2. Fill out and return your information packet.

You will also eventually need to submit copies of the following: Drivers License, Auto and Home/Renters Insurance, TB test for everyone over 18, CPR/First Aid training, HIV/Blood Born Pathogen Training, and up to date Pet Shot records. The foster care licensor will guide you through the process.
Step 3. Attend Orientation and Pre-Service Caregiver Core Training.
1. Foster Parent Orientation can be taken online or in a three hour in-person training.
2. Pre-Service Caregiver Core Training is a 24 hour course that preferably is attended by all parents but at a minimum the primary parent.
Step 4. A Home Visit and Interview is the last step!
