Step 2.  Fill out and return your information packet.
To begin the process of becoming a foster parent, please return Background Clearances for everyone in the home over the age of 16 and the Family Home Study Application. Electronic fingerprinting will be conducted as part of the background

Contact Lindsey for times and locations for both or go to the DSHS website at http://www.dshs.wa.gov/ca/fosterparents/training.asp

1.  Foster Parent Orientation can be taken online or in a three hour in-person training.

2.  Pre-Service Caregiver Core Training is a 24 hour course that preferably is attended by all parents but at a minimum the primary parent.

Step 4.  A Home Visit and Interview is the last step!
