KMHS Celebrates 30 Years at Annual Dinner
October 16, 2007

Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) will celebrate its 30-year anniversary at its Annual Dinner on October 26 at the Harborside Conference Center. The evening will include a tribute to the agency’s growth and development over the last 30 years delivered by Kitsap County Superior Court Commissioner Thurman W. Lowans. Other highlights of the evening will include special recognition of KMHS staff and client successes.

At this year’s dinner, details of KMHS’ new capital project will be shared with attendees. Plans are underway to construct a 16-bed residential/stabilization facility on the grounds of the main campus in Bremerton. The new facility will replace the “Burwell House”, a structure inadequate for its current use.

In June 2007, KMHS again placed as a finalist in Washington CEO Magazine’s “Best Companies to Work For.” The agency placed first in the competition in the non-profit category two previous years, and has consistently placed as a finalist in other years since 1999.
