A Mother & Daughter's Story: The Journey of Recovery

National presenters Cinda and Linea Johnson, a mother and daughter with a commitment to building hope and lessening the stigma about mental health conditions, will share their story of treatment and recovery following Linea’s diagnosis of bipolar disorder. Kitsap Mental Health Services will offer the 7:00 – 8:30 evening event on Wednesday May 5

Linea Johnson is a college student, musician, and writer. She has a strong commitment to justice, especially for people with mental illness and is an intern at the Center for Ethical Leadership in Seattle. Linea is currently writing her first book on her experience with bipolar disorder, to be published this fall. Cinda Johnson is Linea’s mother and professor and Special Education Program Director at Seattle University, and has presented nationally and internationally on secondary special education.
