Dr. David Beck, Medical Director for Kitsap Mental Health Services, is one of ten emerging community psychiatric leaders nationwide to be selected for a comprehensive psychiatric leadership training program sponsored by the National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare. Dr. Beck was selected to participate in the year long program based on his visionary leadership style and twenty years experience implementing integrated health and recovery models across systems of care. A board-certified internist, Dr. Beck has practiced in both Community and Tribal Health Centers, specializing in Addiction Medicine and Community Mental Health.

As our Kitsap community is grows and matures, we will need to offer additional geropsychiatric, addiction, crisis-stabilization, corrections, and integrated behavioral health and medical services for at-risk populations. The Psychiatric Leadership Development Program will help us as local physicians become change agents who can apply new knowledge and skills leading the way to comprehensive, quality behavioral healthcare for people in our own community.”
