Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) has opened new offices in Poulsbo to better serve those needing mental health and behavioral health services in North Kitsap. The new offices, located in the Community Recreation Center at 19540 Front Street, are open Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. The staff of four clinicians will accommodate an anticipated 200 clients for intake, assessment, brief and longer-term treatment, and limited medical services. Other services, such as inpatient and emergency care, will continue to be provided from the Bremerton location at 5455 Almira Drive.

“The establishment of the North Kitsap Office is the achievement of a goal that we have been working toward for some time,” says KMHS Executive Director, Larry Keller. “We appreciate the hardship that our clients have experienced in just getting to their appointments. This new location makes mental health care more accessible for folks in the north end of the county.”
