Dr. Marti Lewis was elected to the KMHS Corporate Board of Directors in 1987 and is a Past President of the Board.  She recently retired from the Board after 20 years and is now a Board Member Emeritus.         Dr. Lewis earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Seattle University, received her Master of Arts in Education from Pacific Lutheran University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Washington. She is currently instructing in the Nursing and Medical Assisting programs at Olympic College following her retirement as Dean for Math, Engineering, Sciences and Health in 2004 after a 29 year career with the college. She is actively involved in providing consultation and training relative to the health field and has published several articles and books on diseases, and medical law, ethics, and bioethics. Dr. Lewis and her husband, Les, reside in Bremerton and have a daughter who is working in mental health.
