Nationally Recognized Presenter Discusses Mental Health and Substance Disorders Treatment

Dr. Kenneth Minkoff, recognized as among the nation’s leading experts on treatment of people with co-occurring psychiatric and substance disorders, presents an integrated model for successful treatment Friday, May 8th, at the Norm Dicks Government Center. The full day seminar covers research based principles that support successful treatment, using a model appropriate for both addiction and mental health providers. Dr. Minkoff’s presentation concludes with discussion about next steps in further developing systems of care within the community.

A psychiatrist with qualifications in addiction psychiatry, Dr. Minkoff is clinical assistant professor at Harvard Medical School, and has provided training and consultation in over 35 states, Canada, state and county systems, tribal entities, and other providers. He is known as a dynamic and engaging speaker with a commitment to developing integrated systems of care for individuals and families with co-occurring disorders.
