Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) will hold an Open House in honor of retiring Executive Director, Larry Keller, on December 6, 2007, 3:00 – 6:00pm, in the Haselwood Room at KMHS. There will be a brief program at 4:30pm. The KMHS campus is located at 5455 Almira Drive in Bremerton.
Keller, the first and only Executive Director of KMHS in its nearly 30-year history, founded the agency under the direction of the Board of County Commissioners in 1978. His leadership has grown the agency from a handful of employees serving a few hundred clients to a full-service mental health agency with nearly 400 full and part-time professional staff, as well as vocational staff, who serve over 5000 clients annually. The agency’s services range from outpatient treatment for all ages and in-home service through specially designed programs, to inpatient facilities – one for adults and a second for youth. In addition, KMHS maintains over 40 collaborative arrangements with other community-serving entities. KMHS is recognized statewide for its high quality and innovative mental health programs.
The community is invited and encouraged to attend the Open House on December 6 in Keller’s honor. For directions and parking information, call (360) 415-5802.
