Kitsap Mental Health Services has been named among non-profit organizations in the 2008 Washington CEO Magazine’s Best Companies to Work For competition. KMHS has twice been named “top non-profit to work for” and has placed as a finalist in the competition every year since.
Washington CEO Magazine reports approximately 20,000 employees in 308 companies completed an anonymous on-line survey that graded the organization on criteria such as effective communication, training, responsibility and decision-making, performance standards, rewards and recognition, benefits, leadership, work environment, hiring and retention, and corporate culture. The survey results were then reviewed by a panel of nine judges who reviewed both the data and comments from the employees.
“It is our employees who make us stand out.” said Laura Holloway, KMHS Director of Human Resources. “There is no way we could be as good as we are without the dedication of every KMHS employee. We are proud of the kind of organization we have and the work we do for the community and for the clients we serve.”
Located in Bremerton and serving all of Kitsap County, Kitsap Mental Health Services is a comprehensive community-based mental health center providing a continuum of care for adults, children, families and seniors, and includes two 24-hour psychiatric inpatient facilities.
