
Willis Papillion was elected to the Board in 2005 and is currently serving on the Human Resources, Educational Disbursement, Compliance and Strategic Development Committees. Willis is active in many civic organizations, including: board member in American Legion, Post 245; National Association of Black Veterans; board member for the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill - Kitsap; and an active member of the Bremerton Navy League, Seattle Urban League, and Washington Black Historical Society. Willis received his Bachelor of Sociology in 1972 and earned his Master of Social Work in 1974 from the University of California – Berkeley. Willis retired in 1990 after a 36-year career as a Federal Education Administrator. Willis and his wife, Cherron, live in Silverdale. He enjoys fishing and education in his leisure time.
