Quality Behavioral Healthcare Since 1978

Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization providing a full range of inpatient, outpatient, and residential behavioral health services for children, adults and families.

We serve more than 5,600 clients each year and employ more than 600 caring professionals, who provide hope and healing when it’s needed most. We know that mental illness is treatable, and that people can and do recover. We know because we see it every day.

A respected leader in the community mental health and substance use disorder fields since 1978, KMHS became a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) in 2023. That means we’ve met a federal standard for the quality of care we provide, and that we’re committed to continuous improvement. As a CCBHC, we are working to expand access to high-quality care, be responsive to the community’s needs, coordinate behavioral and physical health care, and meaningfully involve clients and their families in clients’ care and the overall direction of KMHS.

People with mental health problems can get better and many recover completely.
