Keller House
Keller House is a 16-bed residential unit that provides 24/7 care for people whose behavioral health challenges affect their ability to live on their own. The variable-length program is designed to bridge the gap between higher levels of care – such as inpatient or crisis units – and outpatient treatment.
Our staff, including nurses, mental health professionals and peer specialists, provide intensive support and a structured environment to help you stabilize your mental health, prevent relapse and gain independence, through:
- Outpatient treatment
- Medication management
- Learning daily living skills
- Connecting with resources
It is the only adult residential step-down unit in Kitsap County.
Eligibility
Keller House accepts referrals for adults ages 18 and older whose behavioral health disorders include symptoms of psychosis and are severe enough that the disorders affect their daily lives.
How to Access Services
Any healthcare professional may refer an adult client to Keller House.
What to Expect
Clients receive care based on their specific needs. The average stay at Keller House is three months. Participation is voluntary.
Our caring staff take care of your basic needs so that you can focus on recovery. Our goal is to connect clients with stable housing before they graduate from residential care and provide them with the tools to be successful in the community.
Other things to know:
- We often have a waiting list; wait time is capped at one month.
- Meals and toiletries are provided. You don’t need to bring anything.
- Clients have private rooms.
- We ask that clients stay on campus during the first seven days of their stay. After that, you may sign out and leave campus.
