Evergreen Bright Start
Evergreen Bright Start is a 30-unit apartment complex that will house young adults (ages 18-24) who may be homeless, are exiting foster care, or have experienced a combination of traumatic life events such as sexual exploitation, domestic violence, mental health issues, substance abuse, and extreme poverty. The property will have on-site case management and access to services and resources specific to the needs of the resident young adults and their children. Kitsap Homes of Compassion
Kitsap Homes of Compassion, a 501c3 non-profit, was created to help end the problem of homelessness in Kitsap County by using existing homes to provide safe and affordable permanent supportive housing. Kitsap Homes of Compassion offers Housing Support Services to help people find safe and stable housing, in or out of KHOC’s Housing Program.
Georgia’s House
The Georgia Mattson Memorial Shelter is a 501 (c) (3) organization and is managed by The Weaver Foundation. Low-income homeless and women who have experienced domestic violence are helped through our program. All clients are referred by other non-profit agencies in the Kitsap Community. In keeping with Georgia’s beliefs, we have decided Georgia’s House is not just a shelter but a home for the women and children who come through our doors. Services include: Individual beds with linens, Showers with toiletries, Clothing closet and food pantry, Kitchen to prepare meals, Family room with TV, books, and children toys, and Case Management.
Benedict House
Benedict House provides emergency beds for 24 single homeless men who are currently homeless in Kitsap County. The shelter also provides 3 additional respite beds for those needing time to recover after medical treatment. Men interested in staying at Benedict House must apply through the Housing Solutions Center at 1201 Park Avenue, Bremerton, (360) 473-2035.

StandUp for Kids – Kitsap County is part of a national nonprofit organization dedicated to the mission of ending the cycle of youth homelessness and its economic impact by providing support and resources to youth experiencing hardships beyond their control. The statistics are shocking, and the dangers are real.
